Acceptable Use Policy

Rules and guidelines for acceptable use of the Pushrift platform.

Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using Pushrift ("the Service"). Pushrift is a developer platform — by using it, you take on responsibility for what you build and distribute with it. We keep this policy straightforward: don't use Pushrift to harm others, break the law, or abuse our infrastructure.

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

What You May Not Do

Distribute Harmful Software

You may not use Pushrift to distribute desktop applications that contain malware, spyware, ransomware, adware, or any code that operates without the user's knowledge or consent. This includes pushing silent updates that introduce such code after an app has been installed.

Deceive Your Users

You may not push updates that materially change an app's core functionality in a way that is hidden from or misrepresented to end users. Users should always get what they expect when they install or update your application.

Violate Laws or Third-Party Rights

You may not use the Service to distribute content that violates applicable laws or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to distribute everything you push through Pushrift.

Abuse the Platform

You may not attempt to probe, scan, or test the security of Pushrift's infrastructure, circumvent access controls, or launch attacks against the Service or its users. You may not create multiple accounts to bypass plan limits or use automated tooling to place excessive load on our systems without prior written consent.

You may not use Pushrift to distribute applications that harvest personal data from end users without proper notice and consent as required by applicable law.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations. Depending on the severity, we may issue a warning, suspend your account, terminate your account, or report the activity to law enforcement. We will generally try to notify you before taking action unless the violation poses an immediate risk.

Reporting

If you believe someone is violating this policy, please let us know at [email protected].

Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
